If you're looking for a unique wedding venue surrounded by more guests than you added to your guest list, getting married amongst the cute and cuddlies might just be for you! This Waikato wedding venue offers you a unique one-of-a-kind experience to get married at the Cornerstone Alpaca, a family-owned Alpaca farm. Conveniently located 10 minutes from Hamilton and 1 hour from Auckland, this venue is easily accessible for all your guests.
The Granero wedding is a DIY barn-style venue with a rustic natural ambiance. The neutral colors of the Alpacas and the surrounding atmosphere can be used as inspiration for your wedding color pallet and decorative theme. The outdoor venue space is rich with lush green grass, trees off in the distance, and neutrally colored Alpacas, making this a backdrop so fun and unique; your Auckland wedding photographer will snap some pretty amazing photos!
At Willowbrook, you can celebrate intimate and medium-sized weddings and with a ton of choices for where to have your ceremony. From a folly on the hill overseeing the lake to a space surrounded by fruit trees blossoming in the orchard. Plus, there are plenty of gardens, including our favourite the hedge circle, to say “I do”.
Imagine having your wedding here; you can exchange your vows in a beautifully decorated wooden gazebo overlooking Alpacas in the field next to you. Your guests will be seated on handcrafted rustic benches that perfectly line that wooden aisle leading up to the gazebo.

Entering the farm, you will be welcomed with a stunning green entrance decorated with bays of hay and beautifully potted plants lining the walkway to the front door. The venue comes decorated with trendy garden lights that brighten up the evening sky and picnic tables for lounging. The indoor reception area is a stunning rustic wooden building furnished with matching rustic wooden tables and chairs, setting the tone for a natural farm wedding.
In addition, guests are given access to the onsite cafe and the Garden Veranda. This covered seating area is beautifully finished with decorative glass windows and unique art that highlight Waikato sunsets.
The onsite cafe offers a limited catering service with items such as pizza. But if you have a special menu in mind, you can opt-out and use your preferred caterer. Since this is a DIY venue, decorative and accessory items are not provided. While The Granero does not have accommodation, they recommend the nearby Clubhouse Farmstay (B&B). It's a bed and breakfast that can accommodate 10-12 people, convenient for your out-of-town guests.
