Don’t consider yourself the usual bride or groom? No worries, Scott doesn’t really consider himself your usual run of the mill celebrant either. Chilled as and with a hearty laugh, Scott will make sure your ceremony is an experience you (and your guests!) will never forget. That said, he’s also super organised and will make sure that everything goes without a hitch.
So, if you’re after someone who’s just as passionate about love as they are about Metal, Scott’s the celebrant you never knew you wanted!
Without further ado, here’s a few words from Scott himself:
“I became a wedding celebrant in 2012, it seems so long ago, it feels like I have been doing this forever, and that's awesome. I have no real idea how many weddings I have done (a hundred ish? maybe around there), I don't count my weddings, rather I collect amazing experiences. And being able to be a part of people's wedding day is a truly amazing experience.
I have been lucky enough to do a wide variety of ceremonies, from a full corpse paint Halloween wedding, to just five people at the base on the Tongariro crossing, Game of Thrones "winter is coming" with cloaks and swords, or a scorching summer day on a hill in the middle Pohangina with two stunning brides, I have the best job in the world.
I have become a bit of a branding whore, and put my skull logo on everything I can, from stamping your wedding certificate to coffee mugs and T shirts, ask nicely and I might even find something for you.
To me, "Married With Metal" can be a heavy metal (or Death / Black / Thrash and all subgenres) for your wedding music, it can also be heavy metal as a couple of tonnes of American Muscle / Drift car, whatever smokes your tyres, it is also the heavy metal I wear on my hands.”

Scott was an amazing and awesome celebrant. He was so understanding and supportive of our ideas, he gave structure to our wedding when we had none. He thought of all the little things we might had forgotten. He was the life of the party and we enjoyed his spirit and personality every moment of our journey. I had searched high and low for someone who fit right with us but could not find anyone - so was really happy to stumble across his listing on trade me. Scott was very helpful providing me with heaps of information and helping with getting the ceremony flowing just right, there were many emails back and forth!
