What. A. Day.
Man these people sure can party and wow did they bring on the game! The day started with the world's Chillest bride surrounded by the world's best bride squard. Even though things were running just a tad bit late, Maggie simply brushed it off with a roll of the eye.
"Meh we'll just do the first look in the hotel if we have to" <---- Next level chill right there.
The makeup artist Erin, at Book Me, brought her game too and got everything sorted just in time for our rides to the first look as well which was epic!
While we couldn't get Scott to squeeze out a tear or two (I forgot to bring the eye drops), he couldn't stop smiling from ear to ear even before he turned around. Good reasons too cause Maggie looked hawt! Like even more than the weather that day. Speaking of being Hawt, we did manage to get in a "battle of the sexes" during the shoot to see which side could give a more "fabulous" pose. I reckon the girls won but you be the judge :P
With the first look and nerves outta the way it was finally time to get these two awesome humans hitched! What we found at Foxglove was nothing short of spectacular! The dangling fairy lights, the white drapes that ran along the ceiling, the sparkling chandeliers and pretty much just everything was perfectly setup. Being indoor was also a massive bonus as it meant everyone stayed nice and cool through the whole thing! As an Auckland wedding photographer, I can’t say how awesome this is hahahaha
Being massive fans of Friends (me too!), we had to take the opportunity to recreate the epic scene from this epic scene from the show. If you don’t know it, just google image “the one with the wedding dresses” :p
As Maggie walked down the aisle, Scott's massive grin appeared again. The ceremony was extra special as it was officiated by Sandy, a super close friend and from what I could see, almost a second mum to Scott.
And with the perfect light, we decided to sneak out for a bit for a beautiful sunset session. The party was so lit I’m not even sure people noticed we ran off hahahaha
When the dances rolled around, Jason from DJ4You pulled out all the stops! He mixed some of the best tracks out there and kept the party going all the way to midnight, not a moment of the dancefloor being empty (not exaggerating)! And with music that good, I obviously had to join in and shake them tooshies as well.
