As an Auckland wedding photographer, I had the incredible privilege of documenting every magical moment of their big day. From the pre-dawn preparations to the late-night revelry, here’s a glimpse into the unforgettable journey of Kritesh and Ahranni’s wedding. The day began before dawn with Ahranni, stunning in a red lehenga, preparing for her big moment. Surrounded by excited bridesmaids, she participated in serene rituals before heading to Shree Swaminarayan Complex to meet Kritesh.

Kritesh’s morning was filled with sunshine, hot chai and family support. After a relaxed start, he headed to the venue with his brother and family, ready for the day’s events.

Their Fijian Hindu ceremony at the Shree Swaminarayan Complex was a breathtaking affair. Inside the pink walls and domes with intricate decorations, there’s a vibrant, floral-adorned mandap, set the scene for a deeply emotional ceremony. The ceremony was a beautiful blend of sacred rituals and heartfelt emotions. It was such an emotional moment when Kritesh first laid eyes on Ahranni in her full bridal attire, his tears of joy were a poignant highlight.

Afterwards, we headed to Puketutu Island Estate for their civil ceremony and reception. The venue, with its Spanish villa charm, was transformed into a magical outdoor setup by the talented Sarah from Faux & Thorn. Magenta flowers, chandeliers, and candles made the space feel intimate yet grand. The look on Ahranni and Kritesh’s faces during the grand reveal of the space was priceless—they were in awe of the romantic setting.

Ahranni changed into a stunning white lehenga, and Kritesh looked sharp in his white tux. Their civil ceremony was just as emotional and heartfelt as the morning’s events, but it was also full of lightness and love.

The reception was the perfect blend of speeches that tugged at your heartstrings and a dancefloor that didn’t slow down, even though Ahranni and Kritesh had been awake for more than 18 hours! Watching them, exhausted but so deeply happy, dancing late into the night, was a perfect end to an unforgettable day.
