Having the pleasure of shooting this wedding would draw the envy of any Auckland wedding photographer. A gorgeous wedding couple, actually the entire bridal party was sexy AF, parents that couldn’t be more proud of their kids, tears, laughs and the most stunning wedding venues and setups and of course, the epic party!
From the get go you could tell it was going to be a good day with the getting more of a party than just “lets put make up on”. Highlight was definitely all those squeals of excitement as Aly made her first appearance! Rightly deserved too, that Jessica Couture gown suited Aly so well! Ethereal and almost fairy like as she glided along <3
Once we were Mantells Mt. Eden, a call was made to have the ceremony indoor as the rain kept coming and going at the whims of the wind. In their own words “I’m actually quite glad we did it inside, it just felt so intimate and special having everyone crowd around us”, these two are seriously such amazing humans <3 And like they said, intimate it was with many tears being shed as Aly & Dylan poured their hearts and love to each other.
Once it was official that they were Married!! We headed off to create some wedding photography magic :P the original idea was to hit up Cornwall Park and get some nice photos amongst the greenery however since it’d rained quite a bit through out the day, we decided to change course to the Railway Station instead. personally, I feel that it fit the vibe of the day as well as Aly’s gown just as well, if not better! Giving them a vintage, timeless and elegant look. In fact the entire wedding party was just so dang “fabulous” it was hard to stop shooting!
It’s not just me that thinks that these two are gorgeous humans inside and as evident through out the speeches. In fact, they put so much love into their wedding favours and it’s definitely one of our favourits through all the years we’ve photographed weddings! They created their own chilly oil using their own secrete recipe and bottled them for the guests as they loved all things spicy themself and wanted to share a bit of themselves with everyone <3 Couldn’t help but create a special photo highlighting that! (With some help from Bridesmaid Sophia + her vaping skills lol)
More surprises awaited us cause when it came time for the Cake cutting Aly started bellowing “where’s my sword??!!”. I simply thought to myself it was just her fun way of asking for the cake cutting knife but nOoOoO… she actually meant a sword 🤣 Next thing I know Steven (Dad) runs out with a full on Rapier and um…. cake cutting was… epic 😆
Soon it was time for the party and it definitely didn’t disappoint, from their first dance to a VERY special father daughter dance to all the guests running onto a dance floor that could put raves to shame, these people know how to have a good time <3
With how gorgeous Mantells Mt. Eden is, we definitely couldn’t leave without at least getting some intimate shots of these two beautiful beasts! We hardly even needed to give them any direction too, they were just so in love, you know what, I’ll just let the photos speak for itself :P
