The Waterlily Garden | Tauranga Wedding Venues

The Waterlily Garden

Picture a fairytale wedding in a venue set within 15 acres of magical gardens, calm lakes, and unique native forest. A location with amazing views across the seasons and ideal for intimate or large celebrations. Formal lawns, giant oaks, maples, ponds and brides, its got it all!

Some of the most popular locations for a ceremony include Willow Island, the Cathedral Canopy, Lotus corner, and the Liquid Ambers. But to be honest, every nook and cranny of this place looks amazing and if you want to, you can wander around and find the perfect spot for you, perhaps one no one has ever chosen!

Colorful blooms will surround you during spring, with vibrant pink, yellow, and orange tones. When summer arrives, you’ll enjoy the green lawns and magnificent pampas grass; by the time autumn comes in, the changing leaves in deep orange and red tones will be a breathtaking backdrop. You really can't lose with this gorgeous venue.

Getting the perfect wedding photos will be a breeze with soooooo many beautiful place. From the ponds to the small wooden bridges, the garden lawns and hedges to the forests, you’ll never run out of places to shoot! And If you’re looking for something a little different, Owharoa Falls is only 5 minutes away by car, you can be to and back before anyone even notices you’re missing.

Your reception can take place inside the Garden Pavilion or over the garden at a marquee. The venue offers in site catering with plenty of seasonal and customized options. You can choose the décor that fits your personality and style but knowing the surroundings will embellish any wedding.

And the food is just amazing too! Whether you’re looking for a hardy meal with the gourmet burger station or something a bit more fancy, the team here will make it a reality. (OMG honestly… best burgers ever!)

There’s also plenty of lawn games, activities such as badminton and soooo many places to explore, your guests will always have something to do while they’re there.

As an Auckland wedding photographer, I can safely say there’s really no other venue around here quite like The Waterlily Garden. Actually scratch that… nothing quite like it anywhere else in New Zealand! We’ve been there quite a few times now but we’re still finding new things to be excited about every time we go!

But that’s just me, here’s a few newly weds that I’m sure would whole heartedly agree with me :D

We got married at The Waterlily Gardens and the venue was perfect! Rachael, Evan, and the rest of the team were absolutely amazing! Rachael was super helpful leading up the big day, she was quick to offer a helpful suggestions and ease our worries. The wedding day ran like clockwork, we had nothing to do but enjoy our day! We chose the buffet and the food was excellent.

Our guests loved the grazing table and garden games. TheWaterlily Gardens are so naturally beautiful, and we were able to take stunning photos on site.

The cottages are awesome. We stayed two nights and we were able to have the hair and makeup artist get us ready on site which is super convenient.

Overall we had a fantastic day and a good part of that is thanks to the hard work of Rachael, Evan, and the team.

No Wonder they are the winners of NZ Wedding industry Awards, Outstanding Wedding Ceremony Venue, the Gardens are absolutely beautiful and Rachael is an angel. I’m so grateful for the care and support Rachael provided us.

The food was PERFECTION ! I’m a real foodie and loved having such a large variety of options. 2 months on and I’m still craving more of their chocolate tart.

AMAZING! INCREDIBLE! HUMBLE! GENUINE! Just a few words to describe Rachael and her team! We got married at this beautiful location on Easter Weekend and without them, it wouldn't have been as perfect as it was! We had an amazing day and will forever be visiting the gardens and recommending all our friends and family to do so! Thanks a million!
