Auckland Venues

Abbeville Estate

11 hectares surround this heritage-listed building, originally built in 1854 and christened Abbeville in the 1930s. It is an Estate with over 150 years of history, which has been preserved and enhanced to accommodate the most memorable celebrations. Here you will find peace and privacy easy to reach since the property stands near the Auckland Airport.

This wedding venue offers many spaces to accommodate your event, and it even has its church within the property that can sit up to 70 guests. It is a great venue for large and intimate weddings; the lawn area can accommodate any number of guests you need, whether at open-air or under a marquee. Now let us get into the details of their spaces.

Homestead

A space that can hold up to 80 seated guests (100 seated in a theatre style), with beautiful windows surrounding the bright white room, and large doors open to the Garden Room, offers an extra 30 seated guests' space. The homestead and Garden Room turn into one large space when you keep the doors open; they flow as one and create a beautiful feeling of being outdoors.

Barn

An original part of the Estate is the barn, which is the ideal space for an authentically rustic wedding. It is perfect for intimate weddings since you can have up to 40 seated guests but really shines when used for entertainment and dances! The exposed timbers and wooden floors will transport your guests into a different era. It is a cozy and warm space to host an indoor gathering.

Ceremony options

Abbeville Estate can accommodate your ceremony in many spaces; if a traditional church is not your style, they offer a Westney Homestead as a backdrop for an outdoor lawn ceremony. The gardens are also a beautiful alternative, with manicured lawns and trees surrounding your union. The barn is also an ideal option for an indoor ceremony, especially during rainy days.

- "Darling Jess, thank you so much for a fantastic evening last night, everything was just beautiful and the hosts and hostesses were amazing, loved them, thank you, we all had an amazing time!"

- “Hello Jess, I just wanted to express our thanks and gratitude for a simply amazing day. You guys exceeded all expectations: the venue itself was fantastic, the staff were extremely friendly, polite, very competent and super-professional. Nothing was too much trouble for them to do, and every request was swiftly executed. And so many nice touches, like the light blankets when the wind got up and people were getting cold.

And then there was the food! It was fantastic, and a beautiful variety of flavours and textures. It kept on coming, and even those people seated furtherest from the kitchen entrance got plenty to eat, and the full range. Also the special-diet people had no complaints as they got enough of their specific choices. So please pass my compliments on to the kitchen staff as well. I have actually already recommended your venue to a friend whose daughter is getting married later this year!"
