Getting ready was a bit hectic, to say the least 🤣, with such a big bride and groom squad along with an entire kindergarten worth of children bouncing around but at the same time, it make for some super endearing moments as the monkeys cried, high fived, spun their dresses and just ran amok in general, oh what a sight <3

And when Rachel got into that gorgeous gown (and man it was gorgeous!) and came downstairs, we managed to get a few gasps and breathless bridesmaids along with a dad that couldn’t stop smiling.

The boys weren’t too shabby either as they stepped into the light, ready for the real deal! Leading the pack, Shaun looked particularly handsome, if only slightly nervous at seeing his better half walk the aisle to him.

Time to start and I must say, this is definitely the biggest group I’ve ever had to walk the aisle LOL before Rachel and the 5 Bridesmaids, mum managed to shuffle an entire dozen monkeys down the aisle without a hitch 😂

Rachel the stunner of course walked down the aisle like a boss with all eyes on her and was greeted by Shaun’s massive grin :P

Not sure how but our celebrant, Anna, did an awesome job of officiating a super intimate and lighthearted ceremony while a few of the kids kicked up a storm running around and throwing petals everywhere LOL not that we’re complaining, they made for some of the most epic moments.

Waterlily Gardens Rachel helped our gorgeous now “Mrs Hunter” Rachel of Branching Meadows clean off a few confetti before this Auckland Wedding Photographer set to work getting all them group shots.

This will probably be one of the most shots (below!) I’ll have done lol wrangling 12 mini humans and trying to get everyone to look at the camera while smiling was definitely no easy task. Ashamed to say we didn’t manage one in the end but I think the tad bit of chaos of them crying or crawling away while other smiled and laughed portrays exactly how the kids were on the day :P

Oh man was couples shoot a treat! When they initially got in touch with us, they were a self described “awkward farmers that have no idea what to do in front of a camera or what to do for wedding photos” but once we got started, they brought their game! Just having fun with each other definitely got us shots more epic than any wedding photographer could pose them. Not much point of me going on and on about it, I’ll let you see for yourself what I mean. :P

Speeches were epic! In fact we even got some extra awesome news all the way from France as Rachel’s “French sister’s” letter was read out… she’s pregnant!!! I’m pretty sure the rest of New Zealand (maybe France?) could hear Rachel’s cheer as she threw her arms into the air 😆

There were so many incoming hugs and yarns that we almost decided to call off the sunset shoots but I’m sooooooooooooooooooo glad we didn’t! Cause with The Waterlily Gardens providing such an epic backdrop, we scored some of the most epic sunset photos ever!!

Soon it was time to get into the crazy parts of the day as Jon, our musician as well as DJ for the day, got the party started! From first dance to the father and daughter dance and then soon enough, our dance floor was filled with people jumping up and down!

Of course we couldn’t end the night without an epic night shoot. The heavens probably heard us and decided to part the clouds just long enough for us to also glimpse a bit of the full moon.

So, that’s a wrap. Auckland Wedding Photographer, Mic Drop 🤣
