Barbara & Ben | Narrows Landing Wedding | Auckland Wedding Photographer

An Intimate Dream Wedding

Barbara and Ben... what a vision! Romantic... elegant... and above all, can binge gaming like no tomorrow together (and not go at each other's throats). Their day started like every wedding and god ready surrounded by their families and friends at the picturesque Narrows Landing. I've always loved to be part of the day because you get to truly know the family and see how the bride and groom interact with them. The dad jokes, mom perfecting the tiniest details, little kids running around, and the smiles. Raw, real memories.

Soon, the seats were set, crowds were gathered, the gown was donned and the vodka was chugged. It was time. Ben patiently waits at an outdoor setting, with green grass, all their friends and family gathered, and an arch beautifully decorated with red roses. Barbara steps out onto the aisle holding her dad's arm.

Seeing a bride walking down the aisle always brings many emotions, so tears were present as Barbara and her dad approached Ben. She kept it cool, but Ben could not hold back the emotion of seeing the love of her life wearing such a beautiful wedding dress and ready to say I do to a life together.

As the sun went down and guests enjoyed cocktail hour, I stole Ben and Barbara for some amazing moments. Most of my favorite photos happen due to a little miss happening, Ben appears to be carrying Barbara like the kind gentlemen he is, but the reason is not only romantic. Barbara didn't want to miss the opportunity of her wearing high (and I mean hiiiiiigh) heels which doesn't work so well on the lawn. So, her knight in shining armour swept her up and off we went.

When the night came down, I took the last pictures of them getting beautiful silhouettes contrasting over the horizon; then, it was time to join the party. They arrived at the reception venue carefully decorated by their florist and family; red flowers and many candles provided a romantic atmosphere.

Their dreamed wedding day ended with a dancefloor filled with epic dances, happiness, screaming, and jumping guests. It was a pleasure to be part of your day and capture every detail of it; congrats! Pretty much the perfect way to end a celebration as important as this. Without even realising how late it was (having waaaay too much fun ourself!), it was time for this Auckland Wedding Photographer to head home :P Luckily for us Narrow’s Landing wasn’t too far out!
